Built-In Protection Circuitry

The 6ES5455-3AE11 integrates short-circuit proof outputs that automatically limit current during fault conditions. Thermal protection shuts down an overheated channel to prevent permanent damage. After the fault clears, the channel restores normal operation automatically. Furthermore, the module provides diagnostic feedback through the system bus, allowing your PLC program to respond to channel-specific issues promptly.

Electrical Isolation and Safety

This digital output module provides 500 V AC isolation between the field outputs and the backplane logic. This isolation safeguards the processor from ground loops, surge voltages, and accidental shorts.
