Physical Layout and Mechanical Construction

The ICS TRIPLEX T9451 features a sturdy mechanical design for long-term industrial use. Its dimensions measure 30.0 cm in width, 25.0 cm in height, and 4.5 cm in depth. The assembly weighs approximately 1.1 kilograms, providing a stable mounting platform. This unit accommodates up to 32 individual field wiring terminations. Each termination point accepts wire sizes ranging from 0.5 to 2.5 mm². The module uses screw-type terminal blocks for secure and dependable connections. It also provides clear labeling areas for easy channel identification.

Electrical Connectivity and Integration

This terminal assembly supports direct connection to compatible ICS TRIPLEX input and output modules. It routes field signals to the appropriate processing channels efficiently. The ICS TRIPLEX T9451 does not draw active power from the system backplane. Instead, it serves purely as a passive interconnection medium. It interfaces with the main I/O module via a 50-pin ribbon cable. This configuration allows for simple module replacement without rewiring field terminations. Consequently, you can minimize downtime during maintenance or system upgrades.
