Loop Power and Fault Detection

The unit provides 24V loop power for each connected vibration sensor. Therefore, you do not need external power supplies for transmitters. This board replaces the IS200TVIBH2BAA version without any calibration changes. Simply remove the old board and install this one. GE designed this terminal board for single-slot installation. Hence, it fits directly into existing Mark VI rack positions.

Four PCB layers separate analog signal traces from power and digital lines. Three connectors handle all sensor, backplane, and status signals. The GE IS200TVIBH2B IS200TVIBH2BAA includes open-loop detection on each channel. Accordingly, it alerts the controller when a sensor fails or disconnects. Eight LEDs indicate loop fault conditions for every channel.

Each channel includes transient protection for the 4-20 mA loop. The board withstands accidental connection to 120V AC.
