Engineered for Mark V Analog-to-Digital Conversion Firmware
This prom set stores all analog conversion algorithms for the system. It provides dedicated firmware for the GE DS200ADCIF1A DS200ADCIF1ABA kit. You will find this component set on the ADC interface board exclusively. Unlike standard prom sets, this version uses the “ABA” functional revision. It contains six EPROM chips for distributed analog processing code.
Technical Specifications & Physical Dimensions
We designed this prom set for accurate data conversion routines. The table below presents all verified technical specifications.
| Parameter | Specification |
|---|---|
| Total Number of Chips | 6 independent EPROM ICs |
| Memory per Chip | 512 KB (4 Mbit) |
| Total Storage Capacity | 3 MB combined |
| Chip Package Type | 28-pin DIP (600 mil width) |
| Access Time | 150 nanoseconds (maximum) |
| Programming Voltage | 12.75V DC |
Functional Architecture and Memory Organization
This prom set installs directly into the ADC board’s sockets. It uses six contiguous address spaces for firmware storage. You cannot substitute chips from other prom sets. Moreover, the set includes a silkscreen diagram for chip placement. This diagram shows the correct orientation for each IC. Consequently, the ADC board performs accurate 16-bit conversions when properly programmed.
Installation and Operational Guidelines
The GE DS200ADCIF1A DS200ADCIF1ABA retains calibration data for 15 years. It requires a specialized EPROM programmer for firmware loading. You must align the notch on each chip with the socket mark. Always handle these chips by their ceramic body edges. This practice prevents contamination of the quartz erasure windows. Furthermore, the set supports firmware checksum validation on power-up. This feature ensures all six chips contain matching revision levels.
Physical Characteristics and Environmental Limits
This prom set features hermetic ceramic DIP packaging. Each chip measures 37mm x 15mm x 3.5mm. You should cover the erasure windows with opaque labels. The quartz windows allow UV light to erase existing firmware. In addition, the chips maintain stable operation between -25°C and 85°C ambient temperature. You can store this set safely between -55°C and 125°C.
