Detailed Input Specifications

This module features 16 discrete inputs organized into two groups of eight. These inputs operate on a 24V DC sink logic for consistent signal reception. The input circuit guarantees a state ‘0’ with voltage at or below 5V. Conversely, it recognizes a state ‘1’ with a voltage between 15V and 30V.

Each input point has a robust impedance of 2500 Ohms for stability. The input protection includes resistor-limited safety against voltage transients. Therefore, it ensures reliable operation within a network frequency of 47 to 63 Hz.

Robust Output Characteristics

The 140DDM39000 provides eight solid-state outputs configured in sink logic. These outputs are also arranged in two groups of four for flexible wiring. Each point can manage a maximum load current of 0.5A with a low voltage drop under 0.4V.

Moreover, each output group is protected by an internal 5A fuse for safety. The module handles inductive loads up to 500mH and capacitive loads up to 50μF. This design ensures a rapid response time of less than 1 millisecond for state changes.

Isolation and Protection Features

Schneider Electric built this module with comprehensive isolation for safety. It provides 500 Vrms isolation for one minute between internal groups. Additionally, the isolation between groups and the backplane bus is 1780 Vrms.
