The HIMA M2215 Cover Panel serves the H41q, H51q, and Planar F Systems. It fits directly into a 19-inch rack and follows the DIN EN 60297-3 standard. This design improves safety, organizes modules, and ensures proper system integration.

Compliance and Design

The panel follows DIN EN 60297-3, which defines the 19-inch rack format. Therefore, the M2215 Cover Panel guarantees correct alignment and secure placement inside the rack. In addition, it strengthens the structure and protects modules from external impact.

ATEX (Ex)i Module Integration

The system supports two types of Ex(i) modules: varnished and non-varnished. You can combine them without leaving empty slots. However, when you pair a varnished module with a non-Ex(i) module, you must leave the right slot free. As an alternative, you can install the M2214 front plate with partition plate in that position. This rule also applies to slot 15.

The left slot of an Ex(i) module accepts any module type. Consequently, you should cover unused slots with M2215 (4 SU) or M2217 (8 SU) front plates. This practice ensures both protection and operational integrity.
