Overview

The Honeywell BKM-0001 Battery and Key Switch Module is a key component used within the Controller chassis, referenced as “CPCHAS-0001” or “CPCHAS-0002”. Each controller chassis — including redundant configurations — contains one BKM-0001 module only. It provides secure power backup and manual control functionality, ensuring system reliability even during power or logic interruptions.

The module includes two SAFT lithium batteries (one for each control processor), a Force Enable key switch, a Reset key switch, and three 24 Vdc general-purpose inputs (IN1, IN2, IN3) located on the controller backplane. Together, these features help maintain continuous operation and facilitate safe system resets when needed.
