The GE IS220PDOAH1A is a Discrete Output Pack designed for seamless integration within the Mark VIe control system. It connects efficiently to two I/O Ethernet networks and multiple discrete output terminal boards, ensuring stable communication and control.
This versatile module supports up to twelve relays and also receives feedback signals from external terminal boards, making it ideal for complex industrial automation tasks. Moreover, its compatibility with both solid-state and electromagnetic relays gives engineers the flexibility to adapt to different application needs.

Relay Compatibility and Terminal Boards

The IS220PDOAH1A provides broad relay compatibility for maximum flexibility.

• Solid-state relays: Supported by terminal boards TRLYH1B, TRLYH1C, TRLYH1D, and TRLYH1F.
• Electromagnetic relays: Supported by terminal board TRLYH1E.

These options allow engineers to choose the appropriate relay configuration based on specific system requirements. In addition, the module’s well-designed interface ensures stable relay control under demanding conditions.

Input and Power Connections

This pack connects through two RJ45 Ethernet ports and one three-pin power input, enabling reliable data transfer and steady power delivery.
Furthermore, its 28 V DC input design supports efficient energy use while maintaining excellent communication stability across the Mark VIe system. As a result, the IS220PDOAH1A delivers high-speed responsiveness even in complex control environments.

Processor and Functionality

Inside the IS220PDOAH1A lies an embedded processor board equipped with critical components such as:

• Status LEDs for Power, Attention, Tx/Rx, and Link
• Local power supply for stable operation
• High-speed processor with integrated Flash and RAM memory

This internal processor ensures real-time performance and secure communication with connected terminal boards.

Output Enable Function

The output enable function enhances reliability during power-up. Initially, all outputs remain disabled until the module completes internal self-tests. Once validated, it activates the relays to begin normal operation.
This process prevents accidental switching and maintains system stability during initialization. Consequently, users benefit from improved operational safety and reduced downtime.
