Bus PCB and Wiring Principles
- EL+ connects through a fuse or circuit breaker rated at 16 A with 2.5 mm² wire cross-section.
- L- reference pole connects from L- distribution bar to terminal blocks XG.1 and XG.6.
- Terminal blocks XG.2 to XG.5 are floating and provide separate supply lines for L+ and L-.
- For fault signal loops, link pins z26–d26 of unused modules to EC terminals.
- Avoid mechanical stress by removing plug terminal blocks before connecting or removing wires.
- Earth connections bond to the subrack’s metal parts for grounding and safety compliance.
Module Installation and Safety Notes
- Use separate supply lines for power outputs to maintain current limits.
- Replace rear connection strips with Ex types if using Ex(i) modules.
- Standard subracks with 32-pole connectors can be used if no external communication is required.
