At the heart of the project is ABB’s HiPerGuard Medium Voltage Static UPS, which replaces traditional low-voltage systems. This medium-voltage approach simplifies installation, boosts reliability, and cuts energy loss—making it ideal for large-scale AI operations.

“We’re changing how data centers are built. ABB’s technology helps us handle the massive power needs of today’s AI infrastructure,” said Todd Gale, Chief Development Officer at Applied Digital.

ABB will supply the entire electrical architecture, leveraging its global manufacturing scale to ensure fast deployment. The partnership allows Applied Digital to expand in 25MW blocks with fewer components and lower costs.

“Our solutions support faster, more efficient growth for AI data centers,” added Massimiliano Cifalitti, ABB’s Smart Power President.

With this partnership, both companies are accelerating the shift toward next-generation data centers that combine performance, scale, and sustainability.
